Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Possible Side Effects

This presentation provides a foundational overview of pediatric stem cell transplantation, including indications, donor sources, preparatory regimens, and post-transplant care. Participants will review autologous and allogeneic transplant processes, conditioning strategies, and sources of stem cells. Common complications, supportive care needs, and long-term monitoring requirements are discussed. The session highlights nursing responsibilities throughout the transplant journey, from pre-transplant evaluation to post-engraftment recovery.
