The SCAPHON Board is proud to announce the start of our second community service project. Camp Ronald McDonald is a sponsor of SCAPHON and has always supported our organization. Camp provides our kids with a safe place to go to escape their everyday battles and helps them maintain a sense of normalcy in their lives. SCAPHON would like to give back to camp. After speaking with camp representatives about the needs of camp, we have selected the following items to collect: socks, closed toed shoes, sweatshirts and / or sweatpants, flip flops, chapstick / throat lozenges, and sleeping bags. The age range of the campers is 9-18 years. We will start to collect items at the December Quarterly and continue through until the May conference in 2010 where we will present Camp Ronald McDonald with our donations. Collections in between will be accepted by any board member at their respective hospitals.
