Gloria Velasquez Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship
Gloria Velasquez was a part of 4800 at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) for almost a decade. Her job description was Unit Secretary, however, she was so much more. Her number one job was caring for her family. Yet, she found time to care for all of those around her. She was friend, mentor, confidante, baker, organizer and advice-giver. She had a calming presence about her that was passed on to all those around her. She is missed by all who knew and loved her. If she were told today about this scholarship, she'd modestly say, "Oh, you guys" and we hope that she'd be pleased because it is for others. Glo, Thank you.
